I didn't work on any albums, but I did make some well over due cards. I needed some 'thank you' cards for the para-professionals that work in my dept. They have been super supportive with the new changes and leader transition. I'm blessed to have a great group of girls to assist me. They truly are the ones that keep our dept. going.
This first card is also for Stampin' Royalty's challenge #85. This week was a sketch challenge. Another fun sketch.
Don'tcha just love it. Here is my take on it.
The stamp set is Fabulous Florets by Stampin' Up! Such a great set. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. It was one of those purchases that you just buy just because nothing else is calling out to you. Glad I bought it.
One of the flowers is layered with a second cut out image. I curled the flower petals just a bit to add some dimension. The leaves were cut out, curled and then glued down. The pumpkin pie paper ribbon strip was distressed in order to break down the fibers and pull the layers apart. This gave the strip a velvety texture.
I'm totally digging this stamp set and this card. When you get a chance, head on over to Stampin' Royalty and check out all the wonderful creations. You will have plenty of eye candy to make you drool.
